"Shuzenji Temple(修禅寺)" was founded by "Kobo Daishi Kukai(弘法大師 空海)" in 807.

It is known to have been worshipped by the Hojo clan during the Kamakura period and has watched over the rise and fall of the "Hojo" and "Minamoto" clans.

 

Because of its historical background, Shuzenji Temple is designated as a "National Important Cultural Property".

The "Treasure House(宝物館)" exhibits a number of treasures from Shuzenji.

After sunset, the area is lit up and visitors can enjoy a night stroll.

Unfortunately, bathing is not allowed, but it is possible to get up close and see it.
